Revealed ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show, the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera will be priced from $82,100 USD and will be “initially launched in Carrera and Carrera S trims, packing a 3.4-liter flat six with 350 horsepower and a 3.8-liter unit with 400 hp, respectively.” Keep reading for videos and pictures…

Features like stop-start and a groundbreaking new seven-speed manual transmission improve fuel consumption and emissions figures while also returning smashing performance figures even at what will become the bottom end of the lineup: acceleration ranges from 4.4 seconds to 60 for the 911 Carrera down to 4.1 for the Carrera S with the PDK dual-clutch gearbox.
